Chief Information Officers, otherwise known as CIOs, hold the role of senior executives in charge of a company’s information technology sector. The IT division of a company determines what form of information technology is necessary for a company and develops ways to use new technology. The CIO is responsible for overseeing these processes as well as analyzing the implemented technology processes and formulating strategic goals to benefit the enterprise. The CIO makes sure that any form of technology used by the enterprise is the ideal format for supporting the flow of information within the company effectively.
