In Griffith’s experiment, do you think the heat treatment that killed the bacteria also inactivated the bacterial DNA?

No, because after heat treatment, the DNA from the S strain bacteria was able to make the R strain bacteria, which is normally harmless, deadly. So the DNA was still causing the same effects after the heat treatment, and therefore seemed to be functioning normally.
